Island Hall Opens to Rave Reviews

 The $45 million, 148,000-square-foot building is the largest on the Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi campus and houses the Department of Kinesiology, which serves over 500 undergraduate and graduate students in all-level teacher certification, athletic training, exercise science, pre-physical therapy and pre-occupational therapy, sport management, and sport science.  The state-of-the-art facility includes biomechanics, exercise physiology, and motor learning labs, high-tech classrooms, a fully equipped athletic training center, group fitness and dance studios, and a large multi-purpose gymnasium with an indoor running track.
