MATH 3303.001 -- Summer II, 2000

Reports

Your first report will be on some resource in the library or internet. The written portion of the report should be 1 to 2 pages and typed. It should contain a summary of the resource and a section on how you find this resource to be valuable. You will also make a presentation to the class on the subject of your written report. It should be brief (3 minutes max) but contain enough substance to inform your peers on the content and value of the resource. Suggested resources include any article in a math education journal (especially from the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) or book on mathematics at the elementary level. Other resources might be OK but check with me first. The first round of oral presentations on the first report will be July 25. Half of the class will be chosen by random drawing for the first round. The second half will present on July 27.

The second report will be similar to the first, except that the resource you report on must be approved and relate directly to the content of this class. Please submit your resource by July 31. Again, a random drawing will determine the presenters for the first round, August 4. The balance of the presentations will be on August 10.
