Major Research Accomplishments

• Formulated a general method for checking the assembly condition of planetary gears;

• Developed numerical methods to synthesize linkage mechanisms for imposed I/O positions, and for the generation of functions;

• Developed simplifying techniques to synthesis multi-link suspension mechanisms for both the rear and the front axle;

• Identified previously unknown function generation cognates of the Watt II type;

• Developed an original method of visualizing functions of more than two variables where dimension reduction is done via partial global optimization;

• Wrote D_3D and D_2D computer programs to plot z-axis clipped 3D surfaces and deffect-free level curves;

• Wrote the Mekin2D subroutines package for the kinematic simulation of planar mechanisms;
