Overview

The Marine Sensing and Simulation group is led by Dr. Darek Bogucki, and focuses on the following research interests:

• Coastal physical processes, remote sensing, contaminants and oil IR  detection and dispersion
• Electromagnetic remote sensing: LIDAR, microwave, terahertz and optical
• Development of new sensor technology: Optical Turbulence Sensor or MIcrowave Salinity Sensor  (MISS)
• Numerical methods in fluid dynamics
• Numerical methods in remote sensing
• Nonlinear waves:  Internal Solitary Wave properties and dynamics
•  Bio-Physical interactions: interplay between biology and physics
