Articles are needed by specialists and educators on a quarterly basis. The manuscripts should explore the most significant current developments in the energy and petroleum industries involving accounting, taxation, finance, and economics. Severance and excise tax issues and state tax/accounting developments are appropriate topics. Other natural resources articles are also requested (e.g., coal, timber, water, energy). Research studies derived from empirical, analytical, and practical articles are encouraged. The Quarterly has been published more than 60 years, with Professor Crumbley being the editor for more than 42 years.

Send manuscript by email to Larry Crumbley at donald.crumbley@tamucc.edu.

Review Process

Each manuscript is reviewed by the editor or associate editor. After consulting with relevant editorial advisory board members, the editor decides whether the manuscript is accepted as is, revised, or rejected.

Manuscripts submitted to the Quarterly should not have been published before in current or substantially similar form, or be under consideration with another journal or publisher. Authors of submitted manuscripts warrant that the work is not an infringement of any existing copyright and will indemnify the publisher against any breach of such warrant.

Before publication, authors must read, sign, date, and return the contributor agreement to the editor. Authors should have permission to use any content that has not been created by them.

The publisher, LexisNexis, will seek to obtain copyright for materials it publishes, without authors giving up their scholarship rights.

Articles found to be malpractice and/or plagiarized will be retracted. Major corrections will be published.
